AUN Sports is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi manufacturer based in Pakistan, producing pearl-weave BJJ gis (the standard modern jacket weave: light, strong, breathable) in IBJJF-legal sizing for men, women, and kids. We make our own gis end to end, from fabric and cut to stitching and finishing, and we supply athletes, academies, and brands worldwide with stock, wholesale, and fully custom private-label kimonos. This guide explains who we are, what we make, why so much of the world's grappling gear comes out of Pakistan, and how to order from a manufacturer instead of a reseller.
Who is AUN Sports?
AUN Sports is a Pakistan-based manufacturer of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gis and grappling gear. We design and build a full BJJ range in-house: competition kimonos, everyday training gis, ultra-light gis for weight-cutting, and heavyweight gis for daily wear, plus belts, rashguards, shorts, and spats. Because we run our own production rather than buying blanks and rebranding them, we control the weave, the GSM (grams per square meter, the measure of weave weight), the reinforcement, and the sizing, which is what lets us hold a consistent fit and ship custom orders to spec.
Our gis use pearl-weave jackets across a range of weights, ripstop pants (a light, tear-resistant pant fabric), reinforced stress points at the collar, cuffs, and knees where cheap gis fail first, and pre-shrunk fabric so sizing holds after washing. Every competition gi is cut to IBJJF-legal measurements (the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation standard for sizing, colors, and construction) in sizes A1 through A4.
What does AUN Sports manufacture?
We manufacture a complete Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu line, not just one gi. The core is the pearl-weave kimono, offered at several weights so the buyer can match the gi to climate, ruleset, and training volume.
Product line | Weave / weight | Best for |
|---|---|---|
Ultra-light BJJ gi | ~300 GSM pearl weave | Competition, hot climates, weight-cut days |
Everyday / training gi | ~350 GSM pearl weave | All-around daily training, best value |
Competition / IBJJF gi | ~450 GSM pearl weave | Tournament use, IBJJF-legal sizing |
Heavyweight gi | ~550 GSM pearl weave | High-volume daily training, maximum durability |
Beyond gis, we produce ranked belts, rashguards (compression tops for no-gi and under-gi hygiene), shorts, and spats, plus off-mat apparel. We make dedicated men's, women's, and kids' cuts. Women's gis are built to women's proportions rather than shrunk men's patterns, and youth gis are sized and reinforced for kids who train hard and grow fast.
Why are so many BJJ gis manufactured in Pakistan?
Pakistan, and Sialkot in particular, is one of the world's largest hubs for sportswear and martial-arts manufacturing, which is why a large share of BJJ gis, belts, and rashguards are made there. The region has decades of expertise in cut-and-sew apparel, a deep base of skilled tailors and stitching units, and an established supply chain for cotton, weaving, and trims. For a buyer, that means access to genuine factory-direct pricing and the ability to order custom and private-label work, rather than paying reseller margins on a rebranded product.
The trade-off is that "made in Pakistan" covers everything from elite factories to backroom operations. The thing that matters is not the country, it is the manufacturer: their weave consistency, their sizing discipline, their reinforcement, and their quality control. That is the standard AUN Sports is built to.
Buying from a manufacturer vs a reseller: what is the difference?
Buying from a manufacturer means you order directly from the company that makes the gi, so you get factory pricing, control over specs, and the option to customize or private-label. A reseller buys finished gis and marks them up, with little say over construction. For academies, retailers, and brands, going direct to a manufacturer is almost always cheaper at volume and far more flexible.
Manufacturer (AUN Sports) | Reseller | |
|---|---|---|
Pricing | Factory-direct | Marked up |
Customization | Full custom + private label | Usually none |
Spec control | Weave, GSM, sizing, patches | Fixed |
Bulk / wholesale | Built for it | Limited |
Can I order custom or private-label BJJ gis?
Yes. As the manufacturer, AUN Sports produces custom and private-label BJJ gis for academies, teams, and brands. That includes your own branding and patch placement, color and weave selection, custom embroidery and woven labels, and bulk runs for clubs and retailers. Because we control production, we can match a spec sheet rather than offering only what is on the shelf. For minimum order quantities, lead times, and a quote, reach out with your requirements and we will scope it with you.
How do I choose the right gi weight?
Competing or cutting weight? Go lighter (around 300 GSM) to stay under the limit and move fast.
Training daily and want it to last? Go heavier (450 to 550 GSM) for durability through high-volume rolls.
Want one gi for everything? A ~350 GSM all-around pearl weave is the best balance of weight, comfort, and life span.
Need it tournament-legal? Choose an IBJJF-legal cut in A1 to A4 and check the color rules (white, blue, or black).
