JADE Women's BJJ Set, No-Gi Rashguard and Spats Spats

The JADE women's BJJ spats are full-length no-gi compression tights in deep teal, wrapped by lime tape bands reading JIU JITSU and scattered with AUN shield marks. They are cut on a women's rise rather than a men's pattern. The design is sublimated, so the colour sits inside the fibres and will not crack, peel or fade.

Why wear spats for no-gi?

Spats put a layer between your skin and the mat. That means less mat burn down the shins and knees, and less bare-skin contact with a surface a whole room has been training on, which is the main hygiene argument for wearing them. The 88% polyester, 12% spandex knit has four-way stretch so nothing pulls when you invert or shoot, and flatlock seams sit flat behind the knee where a raised seam would rub.

Specs

Are they see-through when they stretch?

No. At around 220 GSM the knit is heavy enough to stay opaque through a deep squat or a guard pass, and because the print is dyed into the fibres rather than layered on top it does not thin out where the fabric pulls. That is the test most training leggings fail and the reason this knit is heavier than a yoga tight.

Who is it for?

Made for women who train no-gi regularly and want leg cover that was patterned for them. The tape bands run around the leg rather than down it, so they still read clearly when you are folded up in guard.

Can I get them in academy colours?

Yes. The tape band carries any two colours and the wording can be swapped for your academy name. Send your colours and logo and we return artwork for approval before production. The minimum is 10 pieces and you can mix the top and the spats within that.

How do I care for them?

Machine wash cold inside out with like colours and hang dry. Do not iron the print, bleach, or tumble dry on high.
