The VOLT judo spats are full-length compression tights in navy, built to live under the judogi: yellow etched line art running down both legs, with AUN Sports branding at the hip. The design is sublimated, so the colour sits inside the fibres rather than on top and will not crack, peel or fade.

Why would a judoka wear spats?

Three reasons, and none of them are cosmetic. They keep the legs warm through a long warm-up in a cold dojo. They stop gi pants rubbing the knees raw during repetitive uchikomi and drilling. And they cover the skin for ne-waza sessions run out of the gi, where bare legs pick up mat burn. The 88% polyester, 12% spandex knit stretches four ways so nothing pulls when you drop for a throw.

Are they legal under the judogi in competition?

Do not assume so. IJF contest rules govern what may be worn under the judogi and differ for men and women, and they are revised between rule book versions. These are training wear. Check the current IJF rule set for your event before you compete in them.

Who is it for?

Made for judoka who drill in volume and have the knees to prove it, and for clubs kitting out a squad in navy and yellow. Under gi pants the print stays hidden, so the colour only shows when the gi comes off.

Can we get them in club colours?

Yes. Send your club colours and crest and we rebuild the design around them, with artwork returned for sign-off before production. The minimum is 10 pairs and sizes can be mixed across juniors and seniors.

How do I care for them?

Machine wash cold inside out with like colours and hang dry. Do not iron the print, bleach, or tumble dry on high.

Tight through the whole leg with no bagging behind the knee, and long enough to reach the ankle. If they slide down during a session they are too big. Sizes run XXS to XXL, so take your normal compression size.
