Yes. White is one of the three IBJJF approved colours for youth competition, alongside blue and black. The gi also follows IBJJF youth sizing from M0000 to M4, so your child can step on the scale and the mat without a fit problem.

Will it survive daily training?

The 350 GSM pearl weave jacket stands up to the constant gripping and pulling of live rolls, while the lighter ripstop pants (around 250 GSM) stay tough at the knees. Pearl weave is the modern benchmark jacket weave: light, strong and breathable.
